From the moment that Liz first saw the beautiful Gothic-style chapel at Trinity College in Hartford, she knew that one day she would like to be married there.
What she didn't know was that she would meet her future husband at that same college - sooner than she thought!
Dave and Liz did not meet and start dating until their senior year at Trinity, despite the relatively small class size - their paths had simply not crossed until then... or had they?
Dave's on campus job was programming computerized locks - when one day he found himself in an administrative office that displayed photographs of each graduating class at Trinity, taken at freshman orientation. Curious to see his freshman self, Dave located himself in the photo, directly in the bottom right corner. He looked at the person to his right - the only person next to him in the photo - and who should it be? You guessed it - Liz.
He called her immediately to share this huge coincidence - neither of them had any recollection of meeting at the time of the photo. And the rest is history... of which I don't know much about other than they were, indeed, married at the beautiful Trinity College Chapel as Liz had once wished.
I love hearing stories like this - makes you feel like some things are truly "written in the stars".
Liz and Dave had a copy of the photo displayed at their reception (below) and encouraged guests to find them out of the hundreds of students pictured.
Here it is - there is Dave with the blonde spikes in the corner:
And here they are now!
