The Kids are Alright

A couple of days ago I shot some photos for a middle school production of a show called Higher Ground. This middle school is only the second in the country to produce this controversial piece about the ups and downs, angst and jubilation of life as an early teen. It deals candidly with bullying, weight issues and eating disorders, sexuality, "mean girls" - all the crap that made middle school so unbearable to live through. They needed some images to use in their on stage projections - here is a handful of what we got...

Burnt Part Boys at Vassar College

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of shooting a new production of "The Burnt Part Boys" at Vassar College, produced by New York Stage & Film. I had been excited to see this production after shooting part of a rehearsal a couple of weeks ago, and was VERY excited to shoot the production photos as soon as I walked into the theatre and saw the gorgeous, massive set by Tony Winner Derek McLane. Kudos to the great cast (featuring "Spring Awakening"'s Skylar Astin and "13"'s Al Calderon) and production team - definitely one not to miss! Catch it at the Vineyard Theatre this fall!
