Meet Sue & Alec
I know, I know, editing photos on Mother's Day is not the best way to pass my day "off"... But, I couldn't help but post a couple of images from Sue and Alec's beautiful, sun kissed wedding yesterday on what the weather people called one of the most beautiful days of the year!
More to come, soon... for now, Happy Mother's Day to all! This mom is off to take a well deserved (at least in my own mind) nap!

More from Julia & Louis
I always love photographing people that I have some sort of personal connection to - and Julia and Louis were no exception. Growing up with mutual family friends, Julia and led sort of parallel childhoods, a town apart. During our engagement session last fall, we discovered that we had envied the same Star Wars toy of our mutual friend's. Two grown women, each remembering the same toy from twenty five years ago? Trust me, this thing was cool.
And, Julia and Louis are cool, too. Their love was evident to everyone in the room and their frequent laughter showed the joy that they obviously felt in one another's company. I had a great time doing their engagement session and their wedding was no different. Watch for more images to come soon!
Beautiful light from the stained glass windows that punctuated this sanctuary - totally loved this space!

I always love the moment just before the bride enters - everyone is excited and all eyes are on the anxious groom. Louis handled it with grace!

Caitlin & Marianne
I was so honored to get to photograph Caitlin and Marianne's wedding this past weekend - as the sister of a dear friend, I have known Caitlin since high school and was so pleased to be able to capture her big day!
Caitlin and Marianne's wedding was filled with joy, love and whimsy - it was a beautiful celebration filled with lots of personal touches. Here are a sampling of images from the day!
Caitlin and Marianne win a prize for some of the best place cards ever - check out their sparkly Christmas tree, covered in homemade sock monkey ornaments for each place card. Caitlin's mom hand made each monkey and personalized each with jewelry and pins for each guest. How fun is that?
Signing their marriage license, with their fabulous officiant, Anthony. Thank you, New York!
Beautiful "birthday" cake wedding cake from Momofuku - YUM!
Caitlin and Marianne had a totally wonderful first dance to Bruno Mars' "Marry You" - which quickly turned into a flash mob, as members of the wedding party, family and friends joined them for a whimsical dance choreographed by Caitlin's sister-in-law, Andrea. Guests went crazy for it!
Prior to the ceremony, we braved the cold and got to take advantage of some of DUMBO's great views and interesting side streets:

Introducing Jen & Don - a few months later!
Jen and Don's wedding was actually all the way back in June, but somehow life got the best of me and I never managed to post some photos of their big day. As you can see, we fought the rain that afternoon... but we won! Jen and Don were such troupers - they did NOT let the rain stop them from getting some great shots. I knew that that giant rainbow umbrella I had bought, but never used, would come in handy on some shoot!
Congrats to Jen and Don!
Love this photo of Jen's daughter seeing her in her gown for the first time!
And another great mother-daughter moment:
