Tara & Rob Photo Preview

The ceremony was held at the bride's alma mater, Lauralton Hall, so naturally there was some school-related bulletin board "art" in honor of the bride and groom.

How many brides have you seen with pockets in their wedding dress? AND in the bridesmaid dresses? I thought this was great. And, one asks, what does a bride keep in a pocket of her wedding dress? Something borrrowed, something blue and tissues, of course.

Burnt Part Boys at Vassar College

On Wednesday I had the pleasure of shooting a new production of "The Burnt Part Boys" at Vassar College, produced by New York Stage & Film. I had been excited to see this production after shooting part of a rehearsal a couple of weeks ago, and was VERY excited to shoot the production photos as soon as I walked into the theatre and saw the gorgeous, massive set by Tony Winner Derek McLane. Below is a sampling of photos from the shoot after the show. Kudos to the great cast (featuring "Spring Awakening"'s Skylar Astin and "13"'s Al Calderon) and production team - definitely one not to miss! Catch it at the Vineyard Theatre this fall!

In the Playbill News...

Today I am taking another trip up to Vassar College, to pay a visit to New York Stage and Film. I will be taking production photos of their show, "The Burnt Part Boys", which will be produced this fall Off-Broadway by the Vineyard Theatre and Playwright's Horizon. I caught a rehearsal of the show a couple of weeks ago and am very excited to see the full production and take some photos!

Below, you can see my photo of another of Stage and Film's productions - "Vera Laughed" by Keith Bunin, also now playing. I won't be able to get up there to do production photos of that one, but I was lucky enough to catch a rehearsal a couple of weeks ago.

Ellie & Mike - Photo Preview

I have always been drawn to teachers. My mom was a 6th grade teacher before I was born and many of my favorite people in the world are teachers of some sort - not to mention my husband. I find most teachers to be bright, engaging, interesting people. Ellie and Mike, two teachers at Greenwich High School, were no exception - they were great at our first meeting and continued to be delightful throughout their wedding celebrations. Below is a preview of their gorgeous day - more photos to come!

Anne and Ned

I was lucky enough to get to photograph Anne and Ned's beautiful wedding in Fairfield a few weeks ago. Both Anne and Ned are alums of my alma mater, Staples High School, and it was great to see so many familiar faces in the wedding party and on the guest list! Congrats to Anne and Ned and many wishes for a long and happy marriage!

Directly below you can see a couple of photos of my favorite part of the day - as Anne and Ned's minister gave a blessing for the meal, he asked all the guests to surround the couple in concentric circles to bless their marriage and show their love. Very special for them and made for some fun photos, too!

Anne and Ned opted out of the traditional limo route and hired a old fashioned trolley to take the wedding party from the ceremony to the reception.
